Humans generate millions of tons of garbage and waste every year, which can be harmful to the earth. Disposing of trash and recyclables properly is very important to keep harmful chemicals and other waste-related problems out of our water and ground supplies. Recycling is an excellent way to help reduce unnecessary waste and to make the best of the earth’s resources without excessive production and harm to the environment. Re-using items can also be a good way to help prevent extra waste production. For example, instead of throwing out a coffee can, reuse it to make a flower pot or to hold pens and pencils on your desk. Reducing energy and water usage as well as developing new ways of creating fuel for automobiles and other forms of transportation can all contribute to a healthier world and a brighter future for all of us. Little steps to improve our environment can make a big difference, working together we can help to make sure we live in a healthy and beautiful place.
